NCAA Tournament recap: #6 UCLA vs #3 Villanova

East Regional Matchup

No. 3 Villanova (28-7) 89, No. 6 UCLA (26-9) 69

Key Moment: The Wildcats jumped on the Bruins early. They built a 21-9 lead and UCLA only had one field goal. The Bruins could not recover.
High Point Scorers: Villanova -- Dante Cunningham 18  UCLA -- Josh Shipp 18
Analysis: UCLA's problem all season has been the lack of consistent post play. Villanova did the right thing and took advantage with Cunningham. The Wildcats were just too strong and enforced their will in the paint. They put six players in double figures. Plus, they forced 20 UCLA turnovers. That's very uncommon for the Bruins. It's even more eye-opening when senior point guard Darren Collinson more turnovers (5) than assists (2).
What's Next: Villanova advances to the Sweet 16 for the fourth time in five years and will face No. 2 Duke, which held off No. 7 Texas, 74-69. Forward Kyle Singler had 17 points and seven rebounds against Texas. Should be a great matchup in the low block between him and Cunningham.
