NCAA Tournament recap: #4 Washington vs #13 Mississippi State
West Regional Matchup
No. 4 Washington (26-8) 71, No. 13 Mississippi State (23-13)
Key Moment: The Huskies went on a 15-6 run late in the first half to take control of the game
High Point Scorers: Washington -- Quincy Pondexter 23 Mississippi State -- Barry Stewart 14
Analysis: For anyone who doesn't know much about Washington, they got to see one of the better teams in the West. There are three great scoring options between Pondexter, Isaiah Thomas and Jon Brockman. Mississippi State didn't help itself with foul trouble. Simply, the Bulldogs just weren't as good.
What's Next: Washigton advances to the second round and will meet No. 5 seed Purdue, which beat No. 12 seed Northern Iowa. It will be a great contrast in styles betwen the Huskies and Boilermakers. If Washington makes Purdue run, the Huskies will win
